Maj-Lis Nash is the co-owner of The Mind/Body Connection

Creating a place that LMT's and massage students could come and experience the products that are requried in their profession was a desire of hers since she was in massage school. The end result was the opening of this store on June 6, 2003.

A graduate from The Institute of Therapeutic Massage & Movement, she has been in private practice since 1997. An active member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1998 she was honored at the 2003 National Convention with theTennessee Chapter Meritorious Award. She is currently the secretary with the TN chapter of the AMTA and has held positions as newsletter editor and public relations officer.

She began her teaching career with The Institute of Therapeutic Massage & Movement in 2001 and is a lead instructor in CPR,swedish, NMT, sports, hydrotherapy, infant, prenatal, myofacial, ethics, TN law, chair and business practices. In 1999 she began her specialized training in the field of infant, prenatal and labor and delivery massage which she continues to do today. She has attended many courses in this field and became a certified infant massage instructor in 2005.

In the fall of 2005 she felt that not enough continuing education was being provided on a regular basis to the massage therapists in Tennessee and so emarked on her new mission to bring more massage based education to our state. The Mind/Body Connection added the education division to its retail business in the fall of 2005 and now offers several continuing education courses with many more planned to come.

Maj-Lis and Daryl Nash, her husband and co-owner, are building a business that they hope will meet the needs of LMTs and gives back to the community.
